I am a Mobile Engineer with 6+ years of experience in building fast, reliable, scalable, maintainable and secure mobile apps using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, KMP, and Flutter. I currently work as Tech Lead - Mobile at FiatPe.
Connect With MeHello, I’m Prabhat Pandey — a self-taught mobile engineer who enjoys turning ideas into apps that are fast, reliable, and genuinely useful.
Back in 2017, I stumbled into Java purely out of curiosity. One thing led to another, and by 2018, I had shipped my first Android app. That moment made something very clear: this is what I want to do — build digital products that people enjoy using in their everyday lives.
Today, I work as the Tech Lead – Mobile at FiatPe, where I design and develop production apps and payment SDKs across both Android and cross-platform stacks. I work with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), and Flutter — choosing the right tool for the job depending on the problem at hand. My work spans everything from architecture planning and code reviews to performance tuning, CI/CD, and release automation. In short, I’m involved in pretty much everything it takes to build a solid mobile product and keep it running smoothly in the hands of users.
Before FiatPe, I was at Oodles Technologies, where I gradually moved from being a contributor to a senior engineer. That phase taught me a lot — not just about writing better code, but about delivering clean, scalable solutions within the real-world constraints of timelines, security, and user experience. It’s where I learned to balance ideal architecture with practical delivery.
Over the years, a few principles have stayed with me. I believe in keeping things simple — complexity rarely pays off unless it’s absolutely necessary. I prefer measuring performance before trying to optimise anything. I try to write code that’s easy to read and easy to maintain — the kind your future self will thank you for. And I always aim to ship with confidence — with proper testing, observability, and stable release processes in place.
Whether I’m working on Android-native projects or building shared codebases with KMP or Flutter, the goal is always the same: to create performant, secure, maintainable software that feels smooth and intuitive to use.
If that’s the kind of product you’re working on, I’d be happy to connect. Let’s have a chat.
